Job summary

Lakeland Hills YMCA is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead classes from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at our Mountain Lakes facility. The role focuses on safe, engaging fitness experiences for members of all ages and abilities, aligned with YMCA values and a welcoming environment.

Qualified candidates hold a national group fitness certification and CPR/AED. Strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to tailor workouts are essential for success in this part-time position.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized group fitness certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA, ISSA, etc.).
• Ability to modify workouts for various fitness levels.
• CPR/AED certification and knowledge of safety-first aid.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, safe group classes as directed by the supervisor.
• Accurately track attendance and assist participants in achieving health goals.
• Keep up-to-date with wellness trends to support members.
• Adhere to class formats and descriptions and foster a welcoming environment.
• Build relationships with members and adapt approaches to different abilities.
