About The Role

The Group Facilitator will run evening virtual group sessions for patients and families. This part-time role requires at least 5 hours weekly, focusing on support groups, skills groups, and treatment groups. The ideal candidate has experience leading therapeutic groups, a passion for evidence-based care, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

1. Facilitate virtual group classes supporting eating disorder treatment, including topics like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and general support groups.
2. Complete timely documentation of sessions following Equip’s policies.
3. Participate in initial and ongoing training as needed.

Qualifications

1. Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field and license-eligible in California (e.g., marriage and family therapy, social work, counseling, psychology).
2. Confirmed pre-license (e.g., Associate) status in California verified by primary source.
3. Availability for evening/weekend hours (after 5 pm in your timezone).
4. Passion for evidence-based care and treatment.
5. Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
6. Ability to deliver care effectively in a virtual setting.

Physical Demands

Work is performed remotely with no travel required. The role involves operating standard office equipment and communicating via telephone. The position is stationary; sitting or standing as needed.
