Job summary

Gemstone Communities in Amarillo, TX, seeks a part-time Mobile Home Community Groundskeeper to maintain our property. The role involves mowing, weeding, planting flowers, and debris removal to keep the grounds presentable.

Responsibilities include operating hand tools and equipment, performing weed control, trimming shrubs, and supporting multiple maintenance tasks as needed; hours up to 20 per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months grounds keeping experience.
• 3–6 months knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours.
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
• Basic computer skills (email/internet).
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains community appearance by mowing lawns and tending flower beds.
• Maintains community vehicle and equipment.
• Picks up trash/debris from common areas and streets daily; empties trash containers as needed.
• Treat weeds, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges.
• Cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by weather; perform other lawn care tasks as needed.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
