Job summary

U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a motivated Assistant Grounds Mechanic (Part-Time) to support maintenance and daily operations of turf equipment at the Arthur M. Blank U.S.

Soccer National Training Center near Atlanta. You will work with the Head Grounds Mechanic and Director of Turf to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for training surfaces. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and assisting with repair work, logs, and parts stocking.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical experience with turf, landscape, agricultural, or automotive equipment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of small engines, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and power equipment is preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Grounds Mechanic with preventive maintenance and daily servicing of turf maintenance equipment (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers).
• Perform basic troubleshooting, inspections, lubrication, blade and reel adjustments, oil changes, tire repairs.
• Help diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the equipment shop and storage facilities.
• Support equipment setup for daily trainings, tournaments, and events.
