Job summary

Ogden City Government in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Worker to support the Refuse Division and Green Waste Facility. The role involves manual labor, equipment operation, and customer service for residents and visitors.

Work is outdoors, up to 29 hours per week with Saturday shifts. Candidates must have a valid Utah driver’s license, basic maintenance knowledge, and the ability to learn the POS system while keeping facilities safe and clean.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.
Some knowledge of tools used in maintenance and solid waste operations.
Ability to safely operate, or learn to operate, equipment and powered tools.
Learn computerized point-of-sale and record-keeping systems; accurately handle and account for money.
Must provide strong customer service, communicate effectively, work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment used by the Refuse Division and perform daily inspections.
Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents and visitors.
Operate the computerized POS system and cash register; process transactions and balance cash drawer.
Follow OSHA requirements and safety policies; use PPE.
Assist with Green Waste Facility duties and Refuse Division tasks as assigned.
