Job summary

Ogden City is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in facilities maintenance and related service activities under supervision. The role covers equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with contractors to keep city facilities safe and functional.

Requires at least two years of general maintenance, a high school diploma, a Utah driver's license, and the ability to obtain NIMS IS100/IS700.

Qualifications

Two years of general maintenance experience in facilities maintenance or construction.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Any combination of experience and education likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

Operate maintenance equipment and power tools (e.g., scissor lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators).
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain tools.
Follow safety precautions in all work performed.
Respond to customer inquiries courteously and provide information within your area.
Document tasks and projects in the Facilities work order system.
Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and other city departments.
Resolve complaints efficiently and promptly.
Perform snow removal and ice control around facilities as required.
