Job summary

Ogden City Corporation in Ogden, UT is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform skilled labor in the planning, care, and maintenance of Parks, cemeteries, and recreational facilities. You will manage refuse collection, operate equipment, and oversee pest control activities, with supervision from the Parks Area Maintenance Supervisor.

Required are at least three years of relevant grounds maintenance or chemical application experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience maintaining commercial/municipal grounds, trails, parks, and recreational facilities.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and report on refuse collection from parks and trails.
• Operate the park's refuse truck and collect refuse across parks, trails, cemetery, and facilities.
• Schedule pest control treatments to stay below thresholds.
• Mix and apply chemicals with hand/power spray equipment and fertilizers.
• Maintain records of pesticides, fertilizers, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform park maintenance duties including landscaping and plant care.
• Assist with safety audits and risk management activities.
