The University of Washington Continuum College invites applications for part-time instructors to lead Grant Management and Grant Writing specialization courses (non-credit, 3.6 CEUs). Positions are temporary and scheduled January 2027 through June 2027, with compensation of $1,600–$1,650 per CEU per course, depending on qualifications and program needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional experience in grant management or grant writing.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Willingness to teach with minimal supervision; professional standards for adult learners are expected.
• Preferred experience teaching or designing curricula for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Teach to a set curriculum plan with clear learning outcomes and competencies.
• Customize course content and slides, aligning with learning objectives and experience.
• Prepare a course syllabus in advance of the start date.
• Ensure lesson plans and materials are current and relevant.
• Teach all class sessions at scheduled times and assess student work.
• Respond to inquiries and provide timely feedback on assignments.
• Observe privacy laws and policies (FERPA, HIPAA) as required.
• Attend instructor meetings and participate in program activities.
