Job description

PAY RATE: $13.85 per hour (up to 1,500 hours per year).

Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. Click here for details.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position primarily involves maintaining the golf cart fleet, driving range, staging golf carts, and providing excellent customer service to park patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following describes the general nature of duties; employees may perform other duties as assigned.

• Provide excellent customer service to patrons.
• Maintain the golf cart fleet, including staging, cleaning, washing, fueling, and keeping the cart barn and clubhouse area clean.
• Maintain the driving range, including picking up and washing range balls and keeping the range tee neat.
• Assist with directing traffic flow on the course and explain facility rules to customers.
• Help customers with course etiquette and on-course issues.
• Alert management to any golf course problems.
• Assist the Golf Manager with related tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on park demands.
• Ability to traverse sandy, marshy, or wooded terrain.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with co-workers, supervisors, and visitors.
• Availability to work during special events, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to adjust schedule to meet organizational needs.
• Ability to perform essential duties effectively.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to load, unload, and move materials.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Hand and power tools, golf carts, telephone, radio.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employees must routinely walk, sit, talk, hear, handle, feel, operate objects, reach, run, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to traverse various terrains and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds is required. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
