Job summary

Resorts at Augsburg is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to elderly residents in a healthcare or long-term care setting. You will support nursing staff to deliver safe and compassionate care, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes to the nursing team. The role requires adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols and may involve full- or part-time shifts with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (state-approved).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift/move patients (50+ lbs) with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients.
• Respond to call lights promptly and attend to resident needs.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient environments.
• Assist with feeding and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
