Job summary

Outcome HC is seeking a dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide direct care to elderly residents in a healthcare or long-term care setting. You will support nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate care while preserving resident dignity.

The role involves assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, mobility, feeding, infection control, and reporting changes to the nursing team. A state-approved GNA certification and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (state-approved).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift/move patients (50+ lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient environments
• Assist with feeding and hydration as needed
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
