Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a senior project logistics leader to head a project support team, coordinating domestic and international multi-leg shipments and ensuring safe, timely delivery of goods to meet project requirements.

This position is designated as part-time telework with at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project, in consultation with leadership and the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Bechtel logistics procedures, supply chain policies, and government regulations affecting movement of goods.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements plans, instructions and procedures to ensure safe, economical delivery of goods on large projects.
• Provides cost, transportability, services, and terms analysis to assist with proposals and purchases.
• Represents logistics at supplier/contractor kickoff meetings and reviews delivery requirements in documents.
• Prepares and presents commercial bid tabs, authorizations, and contract documents for approval.
• Negotiates logistics provider agreements to maximize Bechtel's interests.
• Oversees provider performance to meet contract and project requirements.
• Interacts with project management to review logistics strategies considering cost, risk, and schedule.
