The ideal candidate will have experience with ArcGIS, Power BI, Tableau, and coding languages like SQL, Python, or R, and a Master’s in GIS or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration or related field or four years paid professional experience.
• Experience in research, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Ability to prepare and present project details using complex spreadsheet analysis and graphics.
• Knowledge of government operations and public policy analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on assigned issues and analyze impacts of public policy decisions.
• Develop models or scenarios to simulate economic or land use impacts.
• Create data visualizations and maps for internal and public dashboards.
• Update GIS maps with permit-related closures and ensure data accuracy for end users.
