Job summary

City of Boulder seeks a part-time GIS Analyst to support Planning and Development Services with spatial analysis, geodatabase design, and cartographic products.

In this hybrid role, you will design data workflows, maintain datasets, and assist in standards while collaborating with city departments and the public. Two days on-site weekly are expected, with flexible remote work as needed. Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Python scripting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to troubleshoot technical problems and work under deadlines.
• Experience with GIS data standards and metadata is preferred.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in geography, planning or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver simple geospatial solutions (data, workflows, queries, analyses).
• Create cartographic products for print, presentation, or digital use.
• Maintain key GIS datasets and metadata; implement data quality practices.
• Develop GIS data standards and procedures; collaborate with City departments.
• Use programming/scripting to automate processes and improve workflows.
