Salt Lake City Corporation is hiring a Part-Time Project Assistant for GIS and Data Analytics to support dashboards, maps, and datasets. The role conducts research, analyzes data, and helps translate findings into actionable recommendations for department programs and city projects.

The position is hourly, 20 hours per week, with hybrid work arrangements. Preferred candidates have experience with ArcGIS, Power BI, Tableau, and coding in SQL or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Admin or related field, or 4 years relevant experience.
• Experience in research, statistical analysis, policy review.
• Ability to present complex data and reports to managers and public audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, analyze issues, and assess policy impacts.
• Develop models to simulate economic, land use, or legislative outcomes.
• Prepare formal findings and recommendations for department leadership.
• Facilitate meetings with city staff, community groups, and consultants.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery.
