Job summary

The City of Morgan Hill is seeking a part-time GIS Analyst to collect, edit, and audit geospatial data in an Enterprise GIS environment using ArcGIS Pro and Excel. The role supports SOP development, staff training, and technical assistance under the GIS Manager.

This unbenefited, 16-hour-per-week position may offer telework as policies permit after a trial period, with work hours between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM in Morgan Hill, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, or closely related discipline with GIS coursework
• 1 year’s professional GIS experience OR Master’s coursework OR GIS Certificate
• Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Software
• Possess valid California Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Perform data development: collect, edit, analyze, and audit geospatial data in enterprise geodatabases
• Create clear maps for GIS projects using ArcGIS Pro
• Assist with SOPs for mapping workflows and staff training
• Support GIS Manager with staff training and technical support
• Contribute to GIS mapping during incident activations as needed
