Snapfinger Elementary School is seeking a Part Time Gifted Teacher to implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations for all students. The role requires collaboration with team members and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The position emphasizes delivering quality instruction, managing both in-person and virtual learning, and supporting students with diverse needs including those identified as gifted. Salary grade E; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC approved college or university.
• Valid PSC teaching certificate in the appropriate field.
• Endorsements in Special Education/Adaptive Curriculum and related areas.
• Endorsements in ESOL and Gifted as required.
• CTA E or related specialization education requirements as applicable.
• Must pass GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Minimum two years verifiable industrial work experience or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade relevant, subject matter specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans and activities for in-person and virtual learning with evidence of preparation.
• Communicates by phone, email, or video conferencing with district personnel, students, and/or parents.
• Creates an in-person and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Uses internet and web-based technology to provide instruction and collaboration with students; tracks progress and attendance.
• Assesses, documents, and prepares reports on achievement progress and classroom performance.
• Supervises and manages student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct.
• Participates in student development and achievement-related conferences with families and staff.
• Performs general duties such as ordering materials and attending professional training; supports paraprofessionals.
