Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Continuing Education Trainer (GED) to teach GED prep, ESL, and job readiness at Pecan Campus in McAllen. The role requires delivering engaging instruction, developing curriculum, and supporting students to complete their plans.

The trainer will mainly work evenings and weekends as needed and may travel within the college district. Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's is preferred and experience in adult education is valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in GED, ESL, and related Continuing Education courses.
• Implements and optimizes educational curriculum.
• Maintains student/class records and tracks attendance.
• Supports students to complete their individualized educational plans.
