Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Continuing Education Trainer to lead GED, ESL, and related literacy courses across the college district. The role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction, developing tailored student plans, and maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) and experience in adult education. Evening/weekend availability and reliable transportation are essential for campus-wide teaching and travel.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in education or related field.
• Experience in Adult Education and Literacy preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in GED and ESL Continuing Education courses.
• Implements and optimizes educational curriculum to ensure student success.
• Evaluates student progress and maintains records.
• Creates individual educational plans and monitors progress.
• Maintains class attendance records and communications with staff.
• Travels throughout the college district as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
