Job summary

Odessa College is seeking a part-time TxCHSE (GED) Instructor at the Pecos Extension Center. This role requires creating a supportive classroom environment and actively engaging in various teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a Texas Teaching Certificate and experience in adult education. Responsibilities also include lesson planning and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory.
• Texas Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Experience in Adult Basic Education or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct instruction using a classroom approach of teacher facilitation.
• Submit lesson plans consistent with College and Career Readiness Standards.
• Evaluate students’ progress regularly and maintain accurate records.
