Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Gate Access Control in Gilbert, AZ. You’ll provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and earn more.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with the option to expand hours via the Earn More programme, plus training and career growth opportunities within a large nationwide team.

Qualifications

At least one year of security-related experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, and delivery vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
