Iowa Valley Community College District in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a Gas Utility/Gas Pipeline Instructor Assistant in a part-time, hourly role. The position supports Gas Technician Faculty with student training and safety oversight.

Supervise 6–20 students during field and classroom activities, ensuring proper use of tools and PPE. Prior gas utility/pipeline experience is preferred; CDL is helpful but not required.

Formación

• Experience in working for a Gas Utility or a Gas pipeline.
• Class A CDL is helpful but not necessary.
• Knowledge of CFR192.49 and NFPA 54 is preferred.
• Ability to lead students in and out of a classroom environment.
• Good communication skills and PPE knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise from 6 to 20 students in training settings and field trips.
• Ensure students work safely and operate tools and equipment safely.
• Supervise use of hand tools used in the gas industry including a multi-meter.
• Help evaluate student skills and report findings to Gas Instructor.
• Lead pipeline and utility subject lessons as needed.
