Job summary

Historic New England in Metro Boston seeks an on-site event supervisor to oversee three properties. You will open venues, greet guests, meet and assist vendors, and direct guest flow throughout events.

You will monitor activities to ensure vendors follow site requirements and supervise pre-function setup, arrivals, and departures while maintaining high standards of customer service under pressure.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree and at least three years of job-related experience.
• Must be personable and enjoy working with people.
• Requires a high degree of skill and experience in presenting and selling to prospective clients.
• Ability and desire to work with the public with the highest standards for customer service.
• Requires exceptional tact, diplomacy, personal presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task; ability to work well under stress/pressure while remaining calm and focused.
• Requires strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
