Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, St. Patrick Center, is seeking a mission-driven Engagement Specialist to join our team at Caritas St.

Matthews. This part-time role provides front-line engagement, safety monitoring, and crisis response for residents and visitors on a residential campus. Starting compensation is $18 per hour and the position requires no more than 19 hours per week and is ineligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with mental health/substance use is preferred.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct volunteers, visitors, and individuals seeking services to entrances and resources.
• Maintain a welcoming front desk presence across the campus.
• Engage clients to assess needs related to housing, substance use, mental health, or general support.
• Provide accurate referrals to internal services and community resources.
• Maintain documentation meeting agency standards for timeliness, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support client treatment goals.
• Participate in trainings and required certifications.
