Northgate Gonzalez Market is seeking a Seasonal Courtesy Clerk (Store #38) for a part-time front-end position in Southern California. The role includes bagging, assisting customers with carry-out, and maintaining a clean, organized front end.

Wage is $18.42 per hour with potential for a higher rate up to $21.00. Requires basic math, strong customer service, and ability to lift up to 42 pounds. Flexible schedules encouraged.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth-grade level to assist in sales and inventory tasks.
• Able to hear, speak, and understand spoken language to assist customers and communicate with team members.
• Able to read and understand English instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Must have a valid work permit if under 18 years old.
• Be punctual and reliably attend scheduled shifts in accordance with store policies.

• Observe store rules and safety policies at all times.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and follow dress regulations.
• Assist customers with purchases and carry-out service.
• Bag, stock, and return items to shelves as needed.
• Assist in keeping the front end clean and organized.
• Support in opening/closing procedures and shift duties as assigned.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Record in-store merchandise usage as required by store policies.
• Explain or demonstrate store policies to customers when necessary.
