Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market is seeking a Seasonal Courtesy Clerk at Store #06 in California. This part-time role provides customer assistance, bagging, carry-out service, and general front-end support to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You’ll greet customers, help with loading, keep the front end tidy, and follow store policies. Prior cash-handling or arithmetic is helpful, and punctual attendance is essential in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not absolutely required.
• Must have and be able to present a valid work permit if under the age of 18.
• Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level to assist in sales transactions and to calculate and extend column totals on in-store usage.
• Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages for assistance and to communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Must comply with all priorities and store policies including punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Observe all store rules and company policies; comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Bag customer's purchases in accordance with established store procedures and provide carry out service.
• Assist customers with purchases including carry-out service and loading into their vehicles.
• Gather shopping carts and take them to designated areas and pickup points.
• Maintain front end displays clean and orderly; keep the front end of the store clean and in good order.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service or assistance.
