Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Lakeland, FL to greet visitors, manage access at a front desk, and provide exceptional customer service within a logistics environment.

Key responsibilities include monitoring entry activity, verifying authorizations, issuing credentials, and maintaining logs. The role requires at least 1 year in security, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor entry activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, issue credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Receive and direct phone calls, deliveries, and inquiries professionally while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear and accurate logs, reports, and shift communications related to access activity, incidents, and other security-related matters.
