Job summary

Allied Universal in Boston, MA, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to welcome employees, visitors, and staff at the front desk and help safeguard a healthcare location. The role offers flexible DayTime shifts and a $24.00 hourly rate, with a focus on customer service, access control, and professional conduct.

You will be responsible for visitor check-in, credential verification, and coordination with facility personnel.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
• Carry out site-specific security-related procedures, including visitor registration, credential verification, access control, and direction to appropriate areas of the healthcare location.
• Monitor entry activity, maintain accurate visitor and access records, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional lobby environment by answering inquiries, communicating site policies, and coordinating with facility personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
