Allied Universal in Brooklyn Heights, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Residential Facility) to welcome residents and visitors, manage access control, monitor cameras and alarms, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role requires a valid guard card/license, high school diploma, and ability to work in a dynamic residential

Qualifications

A guard card/license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and residential property policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor records as required.
Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.
