Allied Universal in Brooklyn Heights, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Residential Facility) to welcome residents and visitors, manage access control, monitor cameras and alarms, and deliver exceptional customer service. Qualifications

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and residential property policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor records as required.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.

What You'll Do
