Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer (Reception) in Rochester, PA to provide front-desk security, greet visitors, monitor access and support healthcare locations. You will perform security-related procedures, follow site policies and respond to incidents with calm, professional problem-solving.

As a receptionist/security officer, you will build a welcoming presence, verify access, issue visitor credentials and maintain logs while partnering with healthcare staff and leadership

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments or access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate departments or waiting areas.
• Monitor entry activity, maintain visitor and incident logs, and communicate relevant information to healthcare staff and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Support a welcoming front-desk environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting security-related concerns.
