Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Security in Houston, TX. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings, ideal for building experience while maintaining flexibility.

Pay rate is $15.50 per hour, with a Saturday/Sunday morning schedule and opportunities to grow into a fuller schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Customer service experience preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures at the front desk.
Monitor access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate entry and departure records.
Receive calls, greet guests, direct individuals to appropriate contacts, and communicate visitor activity to designated site personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Maintain front-desk logs, report unusual activity or access concerns, and support a professional, orderly reception area.
