Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Front Desk in Rochester, NY. You will welcome visitors, manage access, and provide exceptional customer service at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location.

You will monitor credentials, answer calls, and respond to incidents or alarms following site procedures. The schedule includes day and evening shifts on weekends and weekdays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out processes, issuing visitor badges, and directing guests to appropriate contacts or locations.
• Answer incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate security-related concerns or requests to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor front desk activity, access control systems, and/or communications equipment; report unusual activity or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
