Coast Guard Exchange (USCGCSC) in Kodiak, AK seeks a Desk Clerk with mixed duties for the MWR Guest House. You will interview incoming guests to determine their status and assign appropriate quarters, and you will issue room keys while answering questions about rules and regulations.

The role emphasizes frontline guest service, safety, and efficient check-in/out processes. Intermittent schedule, $16.80/hour DOE, and 0-19 hours/week opportunities provide flexibility for a dynamic hospitality

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak fluent English to communicate with guests and staff.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and carry for a reasonable distance.
• Must pass a background clearance; contingent on favorable results.
• Ability to stand and work long hours.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Previous lodging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out guests efficiently.
• Interview guests to determine status and assign quarters.
• Answer questions about rules and regulations governing quarters.
• Keep lobby and coffee cart tidy; issue room keys.
• Respond to complaints promptly and resolve issues.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms as needed.
