The Salvation Army is seeking a Front Desk Associate to drive membership enrollments, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service at the Kroc Center. You will process memberships, payments, and program interests using the POS system while maintaining professional representation of the organization.
Responsibilities include tours and orientations, assisting with events, and keeping program information up to date.
Under the general direction of the Lead Front Desk Associate, the Front Desk Associate conducts membership sales, provides an exceptional customer service experience, and promotes Kroc Center memberships and programs to members and non-members in the community. This position answers the telephone courteously and directs calls appropriately; greets members, visitors, and clients; and provides general information about The Salvation Army’s operations and services.
Provides a pleasant Front Desk experience by conducting membership enrollments, facility tours, and membership orientations; develops positive relationships with members and visitors and represents The Salvation Army in a professional manner.
Executes membership and guest sales and accurately processes membership records, payments, address changes, program interests, and facility use through the POS system.
Provides quality customer service and responds to inquiries, requests for information, complaints, and guest concerns accurately, promptly, and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
Maintains current information on Kroc Center programs, classes, and events and assists with membership drives, volunteer orientations, special events, annual conferences, and seasonal programs.
Maintains proficiency with membership software; follows Welcome Desk, Membership, and safety policies and procedures; and collects, reviews, and reports monthly statistical data accurately and completely.
Ability to meet attendance requirements and to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to speak before large groups in person.
Duties are usually performed seated; sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Work is performed in a normal office environment with little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather, noise, dust, dirt, and similar conditions.

Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field; AND
One to three years of experience; OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
