Monmouth University seeks an Adjunct Professor of French in the World Languages and Cultures Department on the West Long Branch, NJ campus. Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in French or MA in Teaching with a concentration in French
• Previous experience in teaching classes of French
• Familiar with the communicative method of language teaching, focusing on student-centered learning
• Familiarity with World Language technologies and online learning platforms

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits each semester.
• Develop and implement active, engaging and communicative class lessons aligned with curriculum and learning objectives.
• Hold office hours (1 hour per 3-credit class) during the week to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
• Provide timely feedback and grades in a timely manner; work with course coordinator to ensure syllabus consistency.
