Job summary

San Francisco Community College District is seeking a part-time French Instructor for the temporary pool to teach first- and second-year courses, in-person and online, across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends at multiple sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in French or equivalent, demonstrates inclusive teaching, develops SLOs, uses technology for language learning, and is committed to equity in student outcomes. Faculty appointments are workload-based under CCSF pay scales.

Qualifications

• Master's in French or equivalent required.
• Ability to develop Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and assess them.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach first- and second-year French courses (beginner to intermediate) including conversation courses.
• Teach courses on French language and Francophone cultures and civilizations.
• Offer classes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, in-person and online across sites.
• Follow department outlines and learning outcomes; develop and assess SLOs.
