Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Charlottesville is seeking a Part-time Framer to help customers create custom framing solutions and maintain a well-stocked, attractive store. You will assist shoppers, build relationships, and process framing orders with accuracy, while upholding SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating the framing shop, handling cash at the register, unloading trucks, and supporting Omni-channel processes, with ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring abilities.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred; experience selling products/services a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and create framing solutions.
• Deliver sales and production results on time.
• Complete framing orders with high quality.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and related areas.
• Provide friendly customer service and help shoppers find items.
• Follow SOPs and company programs; support safety.
• Assist with truck unloading and stocking per standards.
• Operate cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Acknowledge customers and offer product solutions.
• Support Omni-channel processes as needed.
