Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Lockhart, TX is looking for a Part Time Yard Crewmember to assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products and provide general store support. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour.

You will greet customers, load and unload, answer questions, keep yards tidy, perform safety checks on forklifts, and help with loading and weather protection of materials. This role requires teamwork and reliability; overtime may be possible.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required.
• High school diploma preferred.
• On-the-job training completion is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the yard.
• Load and unload products safely for customers, vendors, and company vehicles.
• Answer customer questions about products.
• Notify management of customer requests or complaints promptly.
• Move, stock, and rearrange building materials in yard/warehouse.
• Perform routine forklift safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of lumberyard and warehouses.
• Verify tickets match loaded merchandise.
• Cover exposed materials to protect from weather.
• Cut lumber and related materials as requested.
• Operate a forklift.
• Attend store meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
