Job summary

Mat-Su Regional in Palmer, Alaska is seeking a part-time Forensics RN to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other providers to deliver high-quality care while maintaining a compassionate environment for patients and families.

The role requires 2 years of acute care nursing experience, current RN licensure (state or compact) and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an acute care setting.
• RN license in good standing (state or compact).
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately, reporting changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
