Physician Pivot is seeking a part-time Assistant Medical Examiner for the Office of the Medical Examiner in Santa Clara County. Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved medical school.
• California Physician and Surgeons license required and maintained during employment.
• Forensic Pathology board certification or equivalently trained status is preferred and ongoing certification must be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Performs autopsies to determine cause and manner of death.
• Directs Autopsy Suite activities and supervises staff.
• Educates residents, students, and interns in autopsy procedures.
• Produces official autopsy reports and related records.
• Provides or may provide expert testimony and on-call support as needed.
