Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a seasoned kitchen professional to plan and prepare food items in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure proper cooking, consistent quality, and accurate portioning while following recipes and sanitation guidelines.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in food service, strong customer service, and ability to work with a team in a busy kitchen. ServSafe is a plus, and familiarity with safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in food service, culinary, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food service operations, preparation techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Previous experience working in a food service or commercial kitchen environment required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, particularly in customer-facing settings.
  • ServSafe Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, handle food products, taste, and smell.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and work safely in a kitchen environment.

USD 12.40 - 18.65 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $12.40 - $18.65/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
