Job summary

Acelero Learning Wisconsin - Green Street Center in Racine is seeking a Part-time Food Service Worker to help prepare and serve USDA meals for Head Start children, and to maintain a clean, compliant kitchen and inventory records.

The role requires a high school diploma (ServSafe preferred) and background checks, with a starting wage of $16.74 per hour. We offer paid time off, 401K matching, and a supportive, growth-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Physical exam and background checks required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion USDA-approved meals.
• Deliver meals to classrooms and collect dirty dishes.
• Wash dishes and cooking equipment using sanitary procedures.
• Check deliveries for accuracy and quality.
• Store food and supplies; date and FIFO inventory.
• Monitor food temperatures and temperatures in refrigerators/freezers.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment.
