Southeastern Virginia Training Center (SEVTC) is seeking a dedicated Food Service Technician I – Part Time to support our Food Services team. The role involves delivering and organizing meal carts, ensuring proper food temperatures, and maintaining sanitary conditions in a state facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of food safety and BOH regulations. This is an essential, hourly position with rotating shifts and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active, valid driver’s license is required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety is required.
• Must be aware of BOH regulations and can adhere to them.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food via delivery truck to residential homes in all weather.
• Load/unload food carts and deliver to homes safely and accurately.
• Set up trays and ensure proper temperatures of served food.
• Wash dishes and clean food service equipment per BOH standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of food service areas and carts.
