Job summary

Devereux GA is seeking a part-time food service worker to prepare and serve meals for residential clients on our campus in Kennesaw, GA. You will join the food services team to ensure nutritious meals and proper safety practices are followed.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year of institutional food preparation experience, with lifting 30–50 pounds and pre-employment screenings. Devereux offers ASCEND and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred.
• At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting. Previous experience with a National Lunch Program is preferred.
• Must be able to read at 12th grade level.

Devereux GA is a residental faciltiy for adolescents with advanced developmental and behavioral diagnoses.

Qualifications

EDUCATION :

High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred. Must be able to read at 12th grade level.

EXPERIENCE:

At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting. Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull and reach above shoulders.

• Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
• Valid driver's license
• Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
