Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Part-time Days Food Service Assistant in Luverne, MN. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving, maintaining HACCP-compliant cleanliness, handling payments, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires basic math, reading/writing, and ability to work with others in a team setting.

Hours are 7am to 3pm, 24 hours per week, with every other weekend included. Prior food service and Serv Safe/BLS may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper food temperatures.
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items; restock food areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment; operate cash registers and related devices.
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers.
• Demonstrate ability to establish effective working relationships.
