Job summary

Kenmore Tonawanda UFSD is seeking a part-time Food Service Helper to support the school meals program. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking and serving food, cashiering, and washing and sanitizing utensils as part of daily operations.

The position requires readiness to work the 10-month duty schedule, with the stated hours and workload, and the ability to lift up to 40 lb. Applicants should have some experience in domestic work or food service and be able to read and write English.

Qualifications

• Elementary knowledge of serving food and care of tableware; silver, glass and kitchen appliances.
• Practical knowledge of modern cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read and write English; physically capable of lifting 40 lb.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and serving food, cashiering, washing and sanitizing utensils.
• Work cooperatively with Cook Managers and others on any jobs assigned.
• Must be available to work hours as stated above.
