Richard’s Cajun Foods in Church Point, LA is seeking a part-time QA Technician to monitor and verify food safety and quality on the production floor for sausage and boudin manufacturing. The role ensures compliance with HACCP plans and regulatory standards by maintaining a strong presence in production areas and acting as the eyes and ears of the QA program.

Responsibilities include food safety checks, documentation, audits support, and collaboration with production staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food processing helpful but not required.
• Basic math skills including adding, multiplying, and dividing.

Responsabilités

• Monitor CCPs and Preventive Controls as outlined in HACCP.
• Perform and document verification of cook temps, chill times, and metal detection.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken and documented when deviations occur.
• Maintain presence on the production floor during operations.
• Observe GMP practices (hygiene, handwashing, cross-contamination prevention).
• Identify and report food safety or quality risks in real time.
