Description

Position Summary

The Floor Lead is physically present on the floor and maintains an orderly sales floor and handles the needs of all patients and patrons. The role will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting the budtender technicians, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your in-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strong leadership skills, and passion for the industry will contribute to creating a positive and safe environment for both employees and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding the sale of cannabis products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor that adheres to health and safety standards.
• Assist the General Manager with training the new team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about cannabis products, consumption methods, and responsible use.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences, needs, and desired effects.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about product inventory, pricing, and promotions.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring product availability and minimizing stock discrepancies.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and product displays to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
• Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes pertaining to cannabis.
• Open and close the retail store in accordance with company policies and security procedures.
• Ensure all opening and closing operational checklists are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate cash records and ensure all transactions are processed correctly.
• Conduct cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, managing cash drops, and reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
• Foster positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong experience with opening/closing vaults and counting cash.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably within the cannabis industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
• Knowledge of local and state cannabis laws and regulations (where applicable).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must frequently wash their hands and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
