Job summary

Early Spark Academy & Childcare in Southfield, MI is hiring two part-time Floater Teachers to support our growing early childhood program. You will provide classroom coverage across age groups, assist with breaks, meals, and daily routines, and help create safe, welcoming learning spaces. The role offers cross-training to support various areas of the program.

Qualified candidates have experience with young children and a team-oriented mindset. CDA/ECE coursework is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and support across age groups
• Cover teacher breaks and planning/preparation time
• Assist with transitions, routines, rest time, and indoor/outdoor experiences
• Engage with children through play, conversation, and learning experiences
• Use positive, developmentally appropriate guidance
• Provide additional support when children or classrooms need it
• Assist with daily meal service, including preparation, portioning, dishes, and cleanup
• Help keep classrooms and shared spaces safe, organized, and welcoming
• Step into different areas of the program based on daily needs
